E.ON, one of Europe’s leading energy providers, with over 78,000 employees spread across numerous locations, has always prioritized business resilience and security. However, awareness efforts had focused mostly on cyber security, leaving physical security somewhat out of the spotlight.

Effective security requires the awareness and support of all staff in both the physical and cyber world. To address this, E.ON’s Business Resilience & Security team sought a partner who could bring creativity and engagement to their physical security awareness efforts.

Challenge

All the proposals were click-through and not engaging. SAME Solutions were different.

This was a massive project to tackle for our team, but SAME Solutions made the process so much easier.

Over the past 3 years we have developed a unique solution to address foundational security awareness challenges we call this our Security Aware Blueprint.

The program, based on 5 core Security Principles, utilizes high quality POV videos, gamified microlearning modules, and personalized employee episodes. This blended approach creates a memorable and relatable training experience that engaged employees from start to finish.

The 12-months campaign kept training modules short, impactful, and engaging, rolling out over time to maintain regular engagement and reinforce security behaviors. A series of custom learning items, including a Foundation Video, 5 Microlearning Modules, and two gamified VR scenarios, ensured that security behaviors were internalized. As a result, employees had the tools and confidence to actively contribute to E.ON’s physical security efforts.
